Welcome and presentation of the Master, from the Director of the Master, Professor Evangelos Christou.
The curriculum was developed following close cooperation with Higher Education Establishment (A.E.I) specialists and professors from Greece and abroad, specialized in educational administration, educational policy and strategy as well as educational research. Furthermore, sectoral and scientific bodies of the three levels of education as well as Greek and foreign universities participated in the development of the master’s degree. High-quality teaching is offered in flexible forms of education, thus providing the opportunity for the working postgraduate students to further develop his knowledge and skills in various areas of administration of primary, secondary, post-secondary, vocational, and higher education educational units.
The object of this Master’s Program is the production of knowledge in the scientific field of Management and Organization of Educational Units on the one hand and its transmission to the attending postgraduate students, thus achieving the wider purpose of the Master which is the provision of high-level executives to all levels of education who can meet the demands of public and private educational institutions for qualified human resources in matters of educational administration, organization and strategy, educational policy and planning, educational evaluation and certification. Furthermore, they contribute to upgrading the operation of the country’s educational units at all levels and consequently to the sustainable educational, social and economic development of Greece.
The master’s degree is taught by leading professors from various universities in Greece who fully cover all the subjects of the courses. In addition, our postgraduate students are provided with a comprehensive program of seminar lectures by expert scientists and senior executives of educational institutions and organizations.
Both me personally and the entire team of professors and the administrative staff of this master’s degree, we are constantly working so that the program successfully satisfies in the most modern and flexible way both the requirements of the master’s students as well as the needs of the employees in the sector of education and educational institutions, and, finally, of the wider Greek society!
