The object of this Master’s Program is the production of knowledge in the scientific field of Management and Organization of Educational Units on the one hand and its transmission to the attending postgraduate students, thus achieving the wider purpose of the Master which is the provision of high-level executives to all levels of education who can meet the demands of public and private educational institutions for qualified human resources in matters of educational administration, organization and strategy, educational policy and planning, educational evaluation and certification. Furthermore, they contribute to upgrading the operation of the country’s educational units at all levels and consequently to the sustainable educational, social and economic development of Greece.
The specific master’s degree aims to provide graduates of Higher Education Establishments (A.E.I. and T.E.I.) post-graduate education in the field of Management and Organization of Educational Units through a flexible curriculum, constantly adapted to the needs of public and private educational units of all levels of education, the employees (teaching and administrative staff, technical and management personnel) of the educational units of Greece and the national economy, which will offer the necessary specialized knowledge and skills required in order to achieve the sustainable and unrestricted development and effective administration and management of the educational units and institutions of our country.
The main subject of the Master identifies with the science of administration and organization of institutions, bodies and businesses, with a specialized focus on public and private educational units of all levels.
The orientation of the syllabus includes the transfer of scientific knowledge about administration in the field of education of all levels, with the parallel development of personal skills in the same subject.
In particular, the specialized purposes of the Master’s Degree are the following:
- The deepening and promotion of knowledge in the subject of the Management and Organization of Educational Units, but also in related scientific areas, such as the international activity of an educational unit, educational marketing and communication, the promotion of development and research in education, the administration and the development of human resources in education, the utilization of new IT and communication technologies in education, and finally the deepening of the theory and its applications in individual levels of education, such as: preschool education, primary education, secondary education, post-secondary non-tertiary education, technical education, continuing and lifelong education and higher education.
- The specialization of the graduates of the Department of Organization Management, Marketing & Tourism and other Departments of other Higher Education Institutions of Greece and abroad and the formation of executives capable of responding to the professional field of education and education administration.
- The preparation of senior and high-level executives with specialization in extroversion but also in the sustainable development of educational units and organizations, which is a necessary requirement for the stimulation and development of Greek education bodies as a whole.
